- Within the scope of the Human Rights Project and Consumer Awareness Project, Mesut Çeki, President of the Delivery Worker Rights Association was the guest of the CIP 101 course on December 16, 2024. Mesut Çeki talked about the founding story of Delivery Worker News and Delivery Worker Rights Association, their work as a rights-based association and their struggle for their professional rights. In addition, the Association's reports on delivery worker deaths in 2022 and 2023, the experiences of volunteer delivery workers in the earthquake zone and delivery workers organizations were discussed, as well as basic issues such as the difficulties faced by delivery workers such as pressure for speed, working in bad weather conditions, the remuneration system, its exclusion from the “Highly Dangerous Professions” status, and the failure to mandate a “Professional Competence Certificate”.
Together with the James Dyson Foundation, the Fixers Club and Sabancı University SUCool, the Impact Driven Entrepreneurship Workshop was held on April 29, 2024 at Sabancı University SUCool Incubation Center. The workshop focused on design thinking methodology, impact-driven social entrepreneurship practices, prototyping and production processes. In the workshop, participants also had the experience of developing ideas on an impact-oriented problem through team work.
The Social Entrepreneurship Summit was organized with Ability Pool on June 20, 2021. The event was held online with sessions titled “How Does the Private Sector View Entrepreneurship?”, “Sabancı Foundation Changemakers Program”, “Social Entrepreneurship in Youth”, “Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Principles”. In the last session of the event, good examples from social enterprises were shared.
Prof. Dr. Ali Ercan Özgür gave a training on Social Entrepreneurship to supervisor and overvisor students on April 18, 2021.
