Volunteer Recruitment

At CIP, the role of a Supervisor involves more than following project processes; it also requires skills in team management, communication, taking responsibility, and leadership. Therefore, the Supervisor selection process is carried out through a multi-dimensional structure that assesses candidates at different stages based on their motivation, experience, leadership potential, and approach to CIP’s aims and values.

Application and Motivation Form

As the first stage of the application process, Supervisor candidates complete a motivation form in which they express their motivation, previous experiences, and expectations regarding the Supervisor role. The form is used to gain insight into how candidates evaluate their CIP experience, how they define the role of a Supervisor, and their perspectives on the concepts of active citizenship and participatory democracy.

Group Interview

In the next stage of the application process, candidates participate in a group interview. The group interview is designed to observe candidates’ communication styles within a team, their interactions with different ideas, their approaches to problem-solving, their ability to develop ideas, and their leadership potential.

One-on-One Interview

Following the group interview, candidates participate in a one-on-one interview. At this stage, candidates’ motivation and approach to the Supervisor role are evaluated in greater depth. The interview includes questions covering various areas, such as their understanding of the Supervisor’s roles and responsibilities, their awareness of CIP’s aims and structure, conflict and stress management, creativity and innovation, communication skills, and social awareness. This stage helps assess both candidates’ readiness to take on the responsibilities required by the role and their approaches to different situations and challenges.

Peer Feedback

An important component of the selection process is peer feedback collected from Supervisors who have previously worked with the candidate. This feedback is based on direct observations of the candidate’s way of working throughout the project process. Candidates are evaluated based on criteria such as creativity, time management, taking responsibility, communication skills, and potential to take on the Supervisor role. This ensures that the selection process considers not only the candidate’s performance during the application and interview stages, but also their previous CIP experience, working style, and contribution to the team.
