We are organizing a blood and stem cell donation campaign on the Sabancı University Main Campus between 08-09 November 2022, between 10.00-18.00.

Our aim is to establish a bond of volunteerism between our blood donors and people in need of blood. If you want to save the lives of three people with the blood you donated in the campaigns we organize, you can join our campaign.

Do not forget that; BLOOD IS NOT AN EMERGENCY, IT IS A CONTINUOUS NEED.

Today, despite all the developments in medicine and technology, a treatment tool that can replace blood, blood components and products obtained from blood has not been found.

Blood is a treatment tool that is human and has no other alternative to obtain.

-Plenty of fluids should be taken on the day of blood donation, and smoking should not be used for 1 hour following the donation.

- If a vehicle is to be used, the vehicle should not be used within 30 minutes after blood donation.

- For 1 hour following blood donation, one should not stand for a long time in order to prevent blood circulation reactions.

- On the day of donation, activities (sauna, sports, etc.) that tire the body excessively and cause fluid loss should be avoided.

- Heavy items should not be carried with the arm that has been given blood for the first few hours. This can lead to bleeding.
