Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects Manager Zeynep Bahar attended the USRN Staff Development Workshop 2023 organized by the University Social Responsibility Network at Vrije University Amsterdam on 24-26 September 2023.

One of the members of the USRN hosts a staff development workshop for the network every year. In scope of these workshops, USRN paves the way to create university communities that encourage open-mindedness, support personal development, and inspire responsive interaction with the world around us. This year, the workshop focused on “Developing a Broader Mindset,” it was clearly noticeable how all USRN network participants were engaged with the theme of university social responsibility and open to learning from each other's experiences. 

USRN was established in 2015 and based on the belief that universities have an obligation to work together to address the economic, social, cultural and environmental challenges in the world and to find solutions so as to make our world more just, inclusive, peaceful and sustainable. Efforts are underway for Sabancı University to be a part of this network.
