CIPs Academy took place on Saturday, February 15th at Karaköy Minerva Han with the participation of our supervisor and overvisor students.
Gökçesu Özgül, Education Coordinator of Sabancı University’s Gender and Women's Studies Center for Excellence (SU Gender), held a workshop on Dating Violence. During the workshop, the definition of dating violence, forms of dating violence, the concept of consent, personal boundaries, and safe relationships were discussed. The aim was to foster an understanding of gender equality and the creation of safe relationships.
In the second half of the day, Aslı Acar Geliş conducted a workshop on Facilitation in Discussion Weeks. This session aimed to provide the supervisor and overvisor students with practical knowledge and skills on how to lead effective and constructive discussions. The focus was on how to plan discussion processes, maintain balance among participants, and bring together different perspectives in an inclusive way. Additionally, strategies for facilitators were covered, including active listening, managing group dynamics, dealing with challenging situations, and creating a safe environment during discussions.
