Seminar on Delivery Worker Rights

Within the scope of the Human Rights Project and Consumer Awareness Project, Mesut Çeki, President of the Delivery Worker Rights Association was the guest of the CIP 101 course on December 16, 2024. Mesut Çeki talked about the founding story of Delivery Worker News and Delivery Worker Rights Association, their work as a rights-based association and their struggle for their professional rights. In addition, the Association's reports on delivery worker deaths in 2022 and 2023, the experiences of volunteer delivery workers in the earthquake zone and delivery workers organizations were discussed, as well as basic issues such as the difficulties faced by delivery workers such as pressure for speed, working in bad weather conditions, the remuneration system, its exclusion from the “Highly Dangerous Professions” status, and ​​the failure to mandate a “Professional Competence Certificate”.
