Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden Visit

CIP 101 students visited Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden on November 13, 2024. During the visit guided by Nihan Sevinç Muşdal, NGBB Istanbul Plants Collection Officer and Landscape Architect, the students received comprehensive information about the special collections in the garden. During the visit, it was discussed what kind of projects are being carried out both in our country and around the world for a green future, and what important roles plants play in this context.

Project supervisor Ahmet Eren Çağatay shared his impressions of the Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden as follows: “We started our visit by learning the inspiring founding story of Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden. A natural feast welcomed us inside this colorful botanical garden, which has managed to survive in the middle of Ataşehir for so many years, and which I and many of our friends from Istanbul have always passed by but never visited inside. It was really enjoyable to visit this garden, which is very well preserved and lives up to its slogan ‘Natural Life Against Concrete!’ .”
